About the Position
Arthrex, a global leader in medical device manufacturing and medical education, is seeking a Third Shift Machine Operator Associate, I&R (Imaging and Resection) for their Ave Maria, FL location. This role is integral to producing superior medical devices following Arthrex's machining processes and procedures. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of I&R machines and special processes under direct supervision
- Verify components and materials against work orders
- Perform and record line clearance
- Ensure machines run the correct program
- Measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications using precision instruments
- Interact with various personnel and manage shift changeovers
- Maintain quality standards and production output
- Sort/rework parts as required
- Assist with other operations as needed
- Perform data entry in the SAP system
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Report safety or maintenance concerns to management
- Recommend process improvements to Supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use measuring tools
- Must pass blueprint reading class
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles
- Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to perform job requirements
- Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively
- Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures
Physical Demands
- Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
