About the Position
Associate Project Manager (Japanese / English) IRC300976
GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is a trusted digital engineering partner to the world’s largest and most forward-thinking companies. We are seeking an Associate Project Manager with 1-3 years of experience in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis to join our team in Slovakia. This role offers a remote work model and a base salary of 2400 EUR and higher.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain project plans and deliverables
- Establish and maintain effective communication with end customers and GL project teams
- Tailor processes to achieve high-quality results
- Monitor and manage project risks
- Manage distributed project teams working on the solution
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Report project status and challenges to stakeholders in an organized manner
Requirements
Must have:
- Written and spoken Japanese language proficiency (equivalent of JLPT N1 or N2)
- Written and spoken English language proficiency (equivalent of B2 or higher)
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate working between Japan and CEE-based teams
- Ability to make decisions with limited information
- Ability to guide the team through uncertainty and complexity to deliver agreed content
- Self-reliant
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience in IT project management, especially in software development life cycle
- Understanding of software development methodologies and their implications for project deliverables
- Prior experience with verbal translation at meetings
- Prior experience with people management
- Openness to working with Japanese culture
