Associate Staff Engineer(QA)

About the Position

We are seeking an Associate Staff Engineer(QA) to join our team. Responsible for multi-project quality management, functional and technical testing, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Multi-project Quality Management

  • Support testing activities for multiple products, platforms, and technical projects concurrently.
  • Independently formulate test plans, test strategies, and quality assurance solutions.
  • Define test scope and execution strategy based on business impact and technical risks under resource-constrained conditions.
  • Track test progress, quality risks, and defect status, and drive issues to closure.
  • Deliver test plans, test reports, go-live quality assessments, and risk analysis reports.

• Functional and Technical Testing

  • Conduct functional testing, API testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of business workflows, system architecture, and microservice design.
  • Independently design test solutions for APIs, services, and end-to-end scenarios.
  • Be familiar with service boundaries and possess testing capabilities for cross-system and cross-service scenarios.
  • Independently perform issue triage, root-cause analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with development teams to promote Shift-Left testing and build up the quality system.

• Automation and AI-Empowered Testing Capabilities

  • Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and test scripts.
  • Improve regression-testing efficiency and test coverage via test automation.
  • Proficiently leverage AI tools to boost testing efficiency, including but not limited to: Test-case generation, Automated-script generation, Test-data generation, Defect analysis, Test-report generation.
  • Explore industry best practices for AI within testing workflows, and continuously optimize test delivery models.

• Non-Functional Testing

  • Take charge of performance testing, stress testing, stability testing, and capacity evaluation.
  • Independently design performance-test plans and stress-test scenarios.
  • Analyze system performance bottlenecks and drive the implementation of optimizations.
  • Evaluate operational stability and scalability risks after system go-live.

• Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate quality risks, test results, and go-live risks.

Requirements

• Mandatory Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on software testing experience.
  • Proven practical experience supporting multiple parallel projects simultaneously.
  • Familiar with Agile / Scrum development processes.
  • Strong competencies in test planning, risk management, and quality assessment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of API testing, microservice architecture, and system integration testing.
  • Practical experience with test automation.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and issue-driving skills.

• Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, membership, or store-management systems.
  • Testing experience with microservice and cloud-native platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing or AI-Agent-related practices.
  • Proficiency with performance-testing tools such as JMeter, K6, etc.
  • Ability to conduct written communication (emails, Jira) and participate in meetings in English.
