About the Position

Attaché d'exploitation PLANNING

Veolia, a global leader in environmental services, is seeking an Operations Manager for waste collection in Clermont-Ferrand. This role focuses on planning and ensuring client service quality.

Responsibilities

• Planning and Client Service:

  • Take charge of client orders by organizing and planning collection rounds and disposal sites.
  • Manage subcontractors.
  • Control documents related to rounds according to waste regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with European Social Regulations and safety instructions.
  • Monitor activity indicators (hours, km, consumption) and optimize tour organization for continuous performance improvement.
  • Coordinate with the workshop for vehicle maintenance and periodic equipment checks.
  • Have a short and medium-term vision for workforce management.
  • Participate in driver recruitment, providing necessary tools and information.
  • Report to the agency management about encountered difficulties and inform relevant services.
  • Ensure daily adherence to QHSE policy (safety talks, reporting hazardous situations).
  • Ensure service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in operational, commercial, and safety meetings.

• Team Management:

  • Manage the team (track work hours, breaks, individual interviews, task adjustments).
  • Ensure proper use of business tools and applications.
  • Welcome and train new team members.
  • Relay necessary information to maintain team cohesion.

• Prerequisites:

  • BAC + 2 in Transport/Logistics
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of the Clermont area
  • Knowledge of transport regulations
  • Comfortable with computer tools
