About the Position

Audio Technician

We are seeking a skilled Audio Engineer with a solid background in live or broadcast environments to join our growing production team. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize audio across multiple simultaneous setups, each with its own audio, video, and lighting setup. In addition to daily mixing and troubleshooting, this role requires strong technical acumen in digital audio systems, acoustics, and basic electronics/hardware maintenance.

Responsibilities

Daily Audio Operations

  • Operate digital audio consoles and processors (e.g., Midas, A&H, Waves, Fourier Audio) to ensure clear, high-quality sound.
  • Manage microphones (e.g., Dynamic, Shotgun, Contact), DI signals, and other input sources.
  • Maintain loudness standards and ensure proper level alignment.

Studio Collaboration & Setup

  • Work closely with AV and lighting departments to design and implement new studio setups.
  • Provide acoustics expertise for optimal studio layout and sound treatment.
  • Configure and optimize audio systems to match production and broadcast needs.
  • Adjust basic video parameters such as color temperature, polarization filters, and lighting alignment for consistent on-camera presentation.

Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor audio equipment for potential issues and quickly implement alternative solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair technical faults on equipment and systems.
  • Assemble, disassemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair computers/hardware used in audio and broadcast workflows.
  • Conduct soldering work and component replacement on printed circuit boards, following specifications.

Systems & Software

  • Install and configure operating systems (Windows, Linux) on audio workstations and other broadcast-related hardware.
  • Set up peripheral devices and drivers such as monitors, scanners, and expansion boards.
  • Ensure proper integration and function of audio-over-IP systems (SoundGrid, Dante), external processing servers, and relevant plugins.

Broadcast & Control Room Knowledge

  • Understand the core workflows of a television control room and how audio integrates with video/production operations.
  • Occasionally operate or assist with video cameras, particularly when audio and video tasks overlap.
  • Maintain broadcast standards for loudness, clarity, and overall production quality.

Travel & Remote Studio Setup

  • Travel to new studio locations abroad to manage audio system installations and configurations.
  • Ensure studios are designed with proper acoustic treatments and system reliability.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in broadcast audio engineering.
  • Demonstrate eagerness to learn new technical skills and adapt to evolving production demands.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in a live broadcast, studio, or similar audio engineering role.
  • Audio engineering degree or equivalent technical certification preferred.
  • Capable of designing or advising on studio layout, soundproofing, and acoustic treatments.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly identify and resolve audio, hardware, and system malfunctions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills for working with AV, lighting, and production teams.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with live online casino or similar multi-table broadcast environments.
  • Familiarity with video camera operation, particularly in a studio control room context.
  • Any relevant certifications (e.g., Dante Level certifications, Waves certifications, etc.)

We Offer

  • Competitive Salary with performance-based bonuses.
  • Paid Training to ensure you are well-versed in the company’s quality standards and procedures.
  • Perks: Access to a variety of employee benefits, including gym membership and private health care.
