About the Position
We are seeking an Automated QA Engineer with 5+ years in software testing and 3+ years in test automation to join our team in Central Europe. This role is full-time and involves working closely with our development, DevOps, and product teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Own automation strategy and delivery for a modular.NET platform with Angular portals
- Design, build, and maintain automated tests in C# /.NET across UI, API, and integration layers
- Develop and evolve frameworks with xUnit or NUnit, Selenium WebDriver, and SpecFlow
- Create and maintain API test suites with RestSharp and Postman
- Integrate tests into CI/CD, keep suites stable, and support SonarQube quality gates
- Set up and manage containerised test environments with Docker
- Use WireMock (or similar) to mock external dependencies
- Define coverage expectations and release readiness criteria with the team
- Investigate failures properly and distinguish test issues from real product bugs
- Mentor QA colleagues and raise the quality of automation work
- Track work and report issues in ClickUp
- Work closely with developers, DevOps, QA lead, and product in an Agile setup
Requirements
- 5+ years in software testing, with 3+ years focused on test automation
- Strong C# /.NET for building and maintaining automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience with xUnit or NUnit
- UI automation with Selenium WebDriver and BDD with SpecFlow
- API testing with RestSharp and Postman
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD and enforcing quality gates with SonarQube
- Docker and containerised / virtualised test environments
- WireMock or similar tools for service mocking
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing principles, SDLC/STLC, and risk-based testing
- Experience with issue-tracking and test management tools (ClickUp preferred)
- Proven ownership of test strategy and framework architecture, not only script writing
- Experience mentoring QA engineers and reviewing automation work
- Clear communication with engineering, DevOps, and product stakeholders
- Strong ownership, reliability, and independent delivery (proactive updates, follow-through without chasing, honest estimates, proper failure investigation)

- CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Performance testing tools
- Security testing tools
- Test reporting / dashboards
- Experience testing Angular frontends
- Mentoring or leading other QA engineers (strong plus for senior)

The team works in Agile across backend, frontend, QA, DevOps, and product.
