Automation Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer/PLC programmer to join our team at TMC in Västerås, Sweden. If you are passionate about optimizing and automating systems and processes, and have a strong interest in automation, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will be central in creating and modifying PLC programs to manage production equipment and systems. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing solutions for continuous integration and delivery. You will work on optimizing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the high availability and performance of our clients' systems. Your responsibilities also include supporting development teams with tools and processes that improve the efficiency and quality of the client's automation solutions.

You will work in a dynamic environment with close collaboration between different teams, offering you the opportunity to develop both technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement solutions for continuous integration and delivery.
• Optimize, maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability and performance of client systems.
• Support development teams with tools and processes to improve efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• University or engineering degree.
• 3-5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer/PLC programmer or similar role.
• Fluent in both English and Swedish.
• Experience with:
  • MES systems.
  • Design and implementation of PLC/SCADA systems.
  • Machine safety and related standards.
  • Development of control systems and their architecture.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MES systems development.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA system design.
• Knowledge of machine safety standards.
• Experience with control system architecture.
