About the Position

We are looking for an Automation Playwright Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India. You will be part of our Automation and Optimization Fraud and Scam Engineering Chapter, where you will design and develop solutions to protect customers from fraud and scams. Your work will support creating advanced technologies that automate scam detection and digital intrusion alerts.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation solutions to detect and prevent fraud and scams, ensuring robust security for millions of customers.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to contribute to strategic goals and deliver high-quality software aligned with business objectives.
  • Implement and promote best practices in software development, testing, and deployment throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks and tools for UI, API, and backend systems using technologies like Selenium, Playwright, and DevTest.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality engineering through system integration testing and automated test strategies.
  • Participate in effort estimation and planning, providing accurate timelines and resource requirements for project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Must have

    • Absolutely hands-on programming experience of 8+ years in Java/Python/Typescript, building automation frameworks.
    • Quality Engineering: Good experience in system integration testing, experience in UI / Backend (API /KAFKA / MQ) automation with frameworks like Selenium / Playwright / DevTest.
    • Experience with RDBMS (Oracle) and using SQL or other data integration/ETL tools.
    • Experience with source control systems (GitHub) and any of the CI/CD tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
    • Hands-on experience in handling API, Kafka, MQ, TCP/IP, and file-based protocols. Should be able to work with Unix commands.
    • Software Development and Deployment: Experience in designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
    • Programming/Software Development: Experience in designing and building programs or application features. Automation frameworks, Automated Tests meeting business objectives and requirements.
    • Experience with effort estimations.
  • Nice to have

    • Industry knowledge of Banking and Fraud domain.
    • Ab initio background is good to have.
    • Solid understanding of Linux environments; strong knowledge of shell scripting and file systems.
    • Experience with data aggregation, standardization, linking, quality check mechanisms, and reporting.
    • AI concepts and knowledge.
    • Experience with cloud technologies.
