About the Position

Impressit is looking for a Automation QA Engineer (part-time) to strengthen a distributed product team during MVP release preparation. The product spans both web and desktop (Windows) applications. You will work alongside a full-time QA Engineer, focusing primarily on expanding automation coverage while providing manual testing support when needed. The engagement is planned for September – October, with a possibility of increased hours closer to the October release and potential extension post-release.

  • Develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript
  • Increase automation coverage for existing functionality
  • Maintain and improve the automation framework
  • Prepare test data and integrate automated tests into CI/CD

  • Report defects, collaborate with developers, and contribute to the overall quality of the product

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software testing experience, including significant hands-on test automation experience
  • Strong experience in end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript
  • Experience testing desktop applications
  • Practical experience with AI coding assistants (Claude Code or similar) as part of day-to-day development
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks (page objects, fixtures, helpers), not only writing specs against ready-made ones
  • Experience preparing test data at API/backend level
  • Experience integrating and maintaining automated tests in CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to identify and eliminate flaky tests and improve test execution reliability
  • Understanding of client–server communication over WebSocket
  • Solid Git and Pull Request workflow knowledge, including participation in code review
  • Clear, structured written communication for test documentation and defect reporting
  • Experience with manual and exploratory testing
  • Confident hands-on use of test management and defect tracking tools, integrated with Jira

We Offer

  • Professional education & training budget
  • 24 working days of paid vacation
  • WOW team-building events
  • Paid sick leave
