Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
About the Position
Autonomy Simulation Engineer (Unreal)
Neros is a defense technology company dedicated to rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and focused on closing the gap between design and deployment.
As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.
Responsibilities
- Develop Unreal Engine simulation content, environments, and assets
- Design scalable simulation infrastructure for nightly regression, containerized runs, and hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Use simulation to debug issues across the full autonomy stack and drive fixes to internal software
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience coding in C++/Python/C# or developing video-games
- Experience with Unreal Engine, UE Plugin development, or existing simulation plugins like AirSim
- Experience with video game assets
We Offer
- Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 USD
- Equity grants as part of Neros' total compensation package
