AV Rental & Broadcast Technician (m/f/d)

About the Position

RIEDEL Communications is the leading provider of live production tools in the media, sports, and entertainment sectors. We are seeking an AV Rental & Broadcast Technician (m/f/d) to join our Managed Technology division, which specializes in renting out audio, video, IT, and communication solutions for international live events. Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, test, and prepare rental equipment and technical systems to ensure they are fully operational and ready for deployment.
• Assemble, configure, and customize communication, broadcast, audio, and video systems according to project requirements.
• Prepare complete outgoing equipment packages and process returned material efficiently, ensuring all assets are ready for future projects.
• Coordinate closely with project managers and technical teams regarding equipment requirements, technical specifications, and project schedules.
• Proactively identify damaged, missing, or maintenance-critical equipment and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Occasionally take responsibility for technical operations on-site and act as a technical point of contact during productions and events.
• Support the setup, execution, and dismantling of high-profile sports, broadcast, and live event productions.

Requirements

• Technical education or demonstrable affinity with AV, broadcast, media technology, communication systems, or related fields.
• Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain oversight in dynamic environments.
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to perform physical work in a warehouse and workshop environment.
• Good communication skills and enjoyment of collaborating with project and production teams.
• Flexibility to occasionally work on-site and outside standard working hours when productions require it.

Nice to Have

• Experience with broadcast, intercom, networking, RF, audio, or event technology systems.
