Tech Stack
Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
About the Position
We are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join our fintech partner, Paysation, a product-oriented company developing its own payment ecosystem for e-commerce. The team is working on a payment gateway, anti-fraud solutions, and other services for secure payment processing, focusing on the European and US markets.
In this role, the engineer will work with the product's AWS infrastructure: developing, automating, and supporting it. The Platform Infrastructure team builds the environment based on Infrastructure as Code principles, paying special attention to the security, reliability, and scalability of the systems.
We are looking for a specialist who can independently take responsibility for infrastructure tasks, find optimal technical solutions, improve existing processes, and help the team develop approaches to automation and security.
Responsibilities
- Designing, creating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure based on Infrastructure as Code.
- Developing, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
- Managing compute resources, network, databases, and secrets across multiple AWS accounts.
- Creating and securing immutable machine images and host configurations.
- Supporting monitoring systems: metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts.
- Ensuring compliance with security requirements and standards (least privilege principle, encryption, auditing) in the payment environment.
- Participating in on-call rotations, responding to incidents, and preparing operational documentation (runbooks).
- Conducting code reviews via Merge Requests and mentoring less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineer roles with deep knowledge of AWS.
- Proficiency in Linux and network troubleshooting skills.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools): creating and using modules, managing state, working with plan/apply.
- Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD and Git-oriented development processes.
- Experience with containers (Docker / OCI) and container registries.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash and Python or Go).
- Understanding of secure development principles: secrets management, IAM with the principle of least privilege, absence of hardcoded credentials.
- Ability to independently solve problems and assist other team members.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-user AWS Organizations and identity federation (OIDC).
- Building pipelines for creating immutable images and using configuration management systems.
- Experience with monitoring stacks (Prometheus/Grafana or similar solutions).
- Experience using supply chain security tools: image signing; IaC scanning.
- Experience creating builds for different architectures (ARM/x86).
- Experience working in environments with PCI DSS or other regulated financial standards.
- AWS certifications.
We Offer
- The opportunity to influence product and infrastructure development, working with technical solutions that directly impact system stability and scalability.
- Fully remote work format.
- 50% compensation for sports activities, language learning, hobbies, and psychotherapist services.
- Health insurance compensation.
- Paid vacation and sick leave.
