Back-End Developer

About the Position

Join HOLYWATER as a Back-End Developer to create and enhance backend functionality for our AI-driven entertainment products. We are looking for someone to join our Engineering & Development department in Kyiv, Ukraine, with the option for a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and expand existing backend functionality.
• Participate in creating architectural solutions to improve service performance and scalability.
• Integrate and optimize work with AWS services (ECS, ECR, S3, CloudFront).
• Use AI tools to speed up work, research, and pair programming.
• Take full responsibility for your zones: from research to implementation and production.

Requirements

• Experience with relational (Postgres) and non-relational (DynamoDB, Redis) databases, TypeORM.
• Knowledge and experience with GraphQL.
• Experience using NestJS.
• Ability to work with AWS services such as ECS, ECR, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, GC functions.
• High-quality ability to use AI tools (code IDE for pair programming, various AI tools for research/independent brainstorming).
• High proficiency in TypeScript.

Nice to Have

• Experience using Docker for containerization.
