Responsibilities
As a Backend Software Engineer at BoConcept, you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering technological solutions that directly support our business objectives. You'll design and build solutions that keep BoConcept running smoothly, connecting our systems so that data gets where it needs to go, when it needs to be there. Your work helps teams across our global operations work more efficiently and deliver better experiences to our customers.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with IT Partners, architects, operations, and business stakeholders to design and build robust systems and data models/flows for projects and ongoing business demands
- Provide clear technical guidance aligned with IT Architecture and integration strategy
- Analyze existing integrations and provide accurate time and effort estimates for solution design and migration
- Build self-healing solutions using retry patterns and robust exception handling, ensuring compliance with data flow principles, security standards, and governance boundaries
- Conduct thorough testing of solutions through structured approaches to ensure stable, reliable flows
- Produce high-quality technical documentation including flow diagrams and knowledge handover materials for IT Operations to enable efficient first-level support
- Safeguard data quality and consistency by setting up relevant end-to-end monitoring, logging, and validation procedures to maintain healthy running integrations
- Partner with IT Operations to troubleshoot issues in production integrations and implement long-term solutions to ensure stability
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing integrations and data flows, focusing on performance improvements and cost optimization
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices, particularly in data integration, APIs, and SQL
Requirements
Technical Requirements (Must Have):
- Microsoft Azure Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Azure integration services including Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Storage, Application Insights, and DevOps
- API Design: Extensive experience designing and implementing APIs with various authentication mechanisms, request/response patterns, and payload transformation. Experience designing, implementing, and owning serverless backend solutions. Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger for API documentation
- Development Skills: Advanced proficiency with JSON and XML payload structures. Solid practical experience with Node.js, SQL, JavaScript/Typescript. Understanding of architectural patterns and where they are used
Technical Requirements (Good to Have):
- Dynamics AX / AX 2012/ Axapta systems (Knowledge of STEP (Stibo) master data system)

Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant technical degree and equivalent experience
Traveling
- Initial travel to BoConcept headquarters in Denmark is expected during the onboarding phase for hands-on knowledge transfer, system walkthroughs, and alignment with key stakeholders.
- Occasional travel thereafter may be required for workshops, alignment sessions, or key milestones, depending on project and team needs.
- Travel frequency is expected to be limited and purpose-driven, with the majority of work performed from the nearshore/offshore location once onboarding is completed.
