About the Position
Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Back End Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites.
Time zones: complete overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.
Responsibilities
Focus on test engineering and building automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright, with opportunities to expand into broader backend engineering work using Java or Kotlin.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in backend engineering.
- Experience in test engineering and automation.
- Hands-on experience developing backend services using Java or Kotlin. Advanced knowledge of TypeScript.
- Knowledge of Playwright, including creating and maintaining test frameworks.
- Understanding of writing functional, integration, and API tests.
- Expertise in writing clear, comprehensive, and maintainable test cases.
- Strong understanding of debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Understanding of working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
- Ability to contribute independently to production code, not only test code.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms, containerized services, or microservice architectures.
- Experience with performance, reliability, accessibility, or contract testing. REST APIs and backend services.
- Familiarity with Git and pull-request workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms.
- Knowledge of web and mobile web testing tools.
