About the Position

BACKEND-DATABASE ENGINEER

REcollab is the first-ever networking and collaboration platform designed exclusively for the real estate industry. We are actively hiring a Backend Database Engineer to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee, or remotely within the United States.

Salary: $80k – $105k

Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

Facilitate how data is structured, stored, secured, and retrieved at scale.
Build and optimize data models and storage in MongoDB/NoSQL databases.
Support backend services built in Spring Boot/Java with reliable, performant data access.
Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and write secure systems.
Mandate correct use of datatypes and proper data placement throughout commercial systems.

Requirements

Technical Skills

Deep familiarity with MongoDB/NoSQL databases and geographical information systems.
Strong command of supporting backend services built in Spring Boot/Java.
Experience with AWS S3, WorkOS, and GIS.
Hands-on experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Personal Skills

Clear written and verbal communication in English.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Attention to detail and pride in clean, maintainable work.
Self-motivated; works well independently and on a team.

Nice to Have

Database performance tuning and indexing expertise.
Experience with data migration and schema evolution.
Experience designing systems from the ground up.
Willingness to relocate to Chattanooga, TN.
