Backend Developer (Node.js)

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to join our team for a long-term digital transformation project in the logistics sector. This role is fully remote and based in Gliwice, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services responsible for data integration, transformation, and delivery.
• Integrate internal and external data sources using RESTful APIs.
• Design and develop data models in relational databases (mainly PostgreSQL) in collaboration with domain experts.
• Create and maintain containerized microservices using Docker.
• Analyze technical requirements related to system integration and data sharing.
• Collaborate with frontend, UX, DevOps teams, and business experts.
• Solve performance, architectural, and error handling issues during testing and integration.
• Create and maintain technical documentation (API, data models, integration architecture).
• Provide technical advice on system scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements

• German language proficiency at least at C1 level (mandatory for daily project communication).
• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience (acquired within the last 5 years) in:
  • Node.js / TypeScript in backend application development.
  • RESTful API design, development, and integration.
  • PostgreSQL / relational databases (data model design, SQL, performance optimization).
  • Microservices architecture.
  • Docker / application containerization.

Nice to Have

• Experience in integrating Digital Signage platforms using data formats such as JSON, XML, or CSV.
• Knowledge of End-to-End type safety solutions in server-client communication (e.g., tRPC).
• Experience working with geographic data / maps (Geodata / Maps).
• Practical experience in commercial use of AI Agents in an enterprise environment.
• Practical use of MCP (Model Context Protocol) Servers.
