Backend Developer with AI

About the Position

We are seeking a Backend Developer with AI expertise to join our team in Vienna, Austria for a 6-month project, focusing on Java Spring Boot migration and backend modernization.

Responsibilities

• Migration of existing microservices to Java Spring Boot
• Further development and modernization of backend systems
• Working on stable, high-performance backend/processing systems
• Collaboration with developers, analysts, and testers
• Handover of the migrated components including documentation
• Support for ongoing operations after handover
• Participation in agile processes (Scrum or Kanban, meetings, retrospectives)
• Collaboration in an international and interdisciplinary team

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with REST interfaces
• Knowledge of .NET Core is an advantage
• Experience in backend development
• Practical experience in agile software development (Scrum/Kanban)
• Technical training (e.g., computer science) or comparable professional experience
• German and English skills required
• Experience in distributed systems / microservices is an advantage
