About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Swedish multinational furniture and home goods company. This role involves developing and improving our highly-rated shopping app, which receives millions of visits every week from users around the world.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the shopping app using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Roll out the app to more markets globally and implement features that support in-store customers.
- Continuously improve the customer shopping journey by incorporating the latest innovative technologies.
- Listen to and respond to customer feedback and analytics, prioritizing efforts with users in mind.
- Work onsite in Malmö/Helsingborg regularly, typically 1-2 days a week in the office, with the rest of the time being remote.
- Develop high-quality code in the Cloud, encouraging good practices.
- Acquire new knowledge and skills, and champion new methods, digital systems, and processes to improve performance.
- Work agile and make continuous improvements within the software engineering function.
- Encourage simplicity, efficiency, ownership, and accountability to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
Requirements
- Experienced backend developer working in Cloud.
- GCP Serverless service.
- Node.js.
- TypeScript.
- Docker.
