About the Position

BACKEND ENGINEER - SPRING BOOT

REcollab is the first-ever networking and collaboration platform designed exclusively for the real estate industry. We are actively hiring a Backend Engineer to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing backend services for our minimum viable product, primarily in Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

Design and implement backend services and APIs using Spring Boot Java
Implement Role-Based Access Control in WorkOS and write secure systems
Implement services in AWS S3
Integrate services with MongoDB (or similar NoSQL) data stores
Translate business requirements into sound, maintainable business logic

Requirements

Technical Skills

Deep familiarity with designing, building, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Spring Boot Java
Hands-on experience implementing Role-Based Access Control in WorkOS
Experience implementing services in AWS S3
Experience integrating services with MongoDB (or similar NoSQL) data stores
Solid understanding of datatypes and data modeling across application layers

Personal Skills

Clear written and verbal communication in English
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Attention to detail and pride in clean, maintainable work
Self-motivated; works well independently and on a team
Capable of wearing many hats

Nice to Have

Experience designing systems from the ground up
Familiarity with cloud deployment and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with implementation of third-party payment processors
Willingness to relocate to Chattanooga, TN

We Offer

Competitive salary: $80,000 – $105,000 USD per year
Equity: 0.25% – 0.75%
