About the Company
Kavita Systems provides Laravel development services, API development & integration, legacy modernization & support, and cloud HMI & CPS web interfaces.
Why This Stack Works
Laravel gives structure to routes, controllers, validation, policies, Eloquent models, migrations, jobs, notifications, schedules, storage, and integrations. The server remains the place that decides what is allowed, stored, rejected, and logged.
API strategy. REST is usually clearest for accounts, records, uploads, approvals, exports, and integrations. Laravel JSON:API resources can help when clients need the specification's relationship inclusion, field selection, and response shape. GraphQL can serve flexible reads across related data when that benefit justifies its operational cost.
Data and storage. MySQL fits many transactional products; PostgreSQL can support advanced queries and, with pgvector, semantic similarity search. Redis serves cache, sessions, queues, and locks. Documents and media need storage and retention rules.
Auth and access model. Many Laravel products need accounts, teams, roles, permissions, admin users, client portals, private dashboards, plan-based access, and API tokens. These decisions belong on the server side.
Integrations and workflow logic. Backend systems often connect the product to payments, CRM, ERP, email, analytics, booking engines, shipping, inventory, external APIs, webhooks, imports, exports, and document processing.
Real-time and async work. Many server-side tasks should not run inside a normal request. Imports, exports, report generation, notifications, email batches, webhooks, document processing, and long-running AI operations need queues, workers, scheduled jobs, retry rules, and status tracking.
AI tools have different roles. Laravel AI SDK provides APIs for AI features inside an application, including agents, classification, and reviewable tool calls. Laravel still authorizes each action.
When several clients share the backend. Laravel can serve a web app, mobile app, partner system, or internal tool from the same authoritative records. API contracts and versioning then become a product responsibility, not only a developer preference.
How Kavita Systems chooses the server-side approach. We review roles, records, API consumers, integrations, security, reporting, async work, deployment, and legacy code. PHP and Laravel provide the core. MySQL or PostgreSQL holds product data; Redis handles cache and queues; Pest PHP checks policies and workflows.
Deployment target. Deployment depends on workers, schedules, storage, database size, integrations, monitoring, and support expectations.
The value of a backend is visible when a failed job, duplicate request, or permission change has a predictable outcome.
