We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in PHP, MySQL, and API development to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of the backend part of existing products.
• Designing database structures and implementing functionality for new solutions.
• Developing custom modules and integrating third-party services.
• Participation in forming architectural decisions and technical discussions.
• Quickly addressing vulnerabilities, optimizing performance, and solving critical issues.

Requirements

• Practical experience in PHP development at an advanced level.
• Proficient skills in working with MySQL or MariaDB databases, including SQL query optimization.
• Experience in creating and extending APIs (specifically WP REST API or GraphQL).
• Understanding of server caching principles and web server operation specifics.
• Experience in developing services for large-scale or complex projects.
• Deep understanding of WordPress architecture and the system of hooks is a plus.
• Experience in developing custom plugins, creating Custom Post Types, and complex taxonomies is a plus.
• Skills in working with external integrations (forms, webhooks, API).
• Understanding of clean architecture principles and maintainable code practices.

At what age can one join the "Azov"?

You can join the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov" from the age of 18.

How long does the basic combat training course last?

The basic combat training course lasts approximately 6-8 weeks. We pay close attention to the training of personnel, carefully training recruits and preparing them to perform combat tasks. For the NGU Brigade "Azov", the professionalism and cohesion of the unit, as well as the value of each individual soldier, have always been a priority.

If transferred to the unit, do you need to complete the BCBT?

Servicemen joining our brigade by transfer must pass the entry control standards. If the standards are not passed, it is necessary to complete the BCBT.

What type of contract and for how long?

Contracts until the demobilization decree. Mobilization until the end of the state of war is also available. If a recruit is transferred from another unit where they have a signed contract, that contract is transferred to the 12th Brigade "Azov" NGU.

What documents are required?

1. Copy of passport (all pages), if ID card, then the appendix;
2. Copy of TIN;
3. Original conscription / military ticket (must be registered with the military registration and enlistment office);
4. Photo 3×4 - 4 pcs., 9×12 - 2 pcs. Photos must be matte, without corners and in the form of cartoons (you can have them taken at a photo studio);
5. Copy of diploma/certificate of education, if available (secondary special, higher) + appendix with grades;
6. Details of personal account (preferably PrivatBank or Oschadbank), the card must be "For payments"
7. Certificate of non-conviction from the Diya (Full).

Is there a contract 18-24 in Azov?

Yes. Contract 18-24 is available for signing in the 12th Brigade "Azov". All payments, benefits, and bonuses provided for in the terms of the contract 18-24 apply to young volunteers who wish to sign a contract and begin 365 days of service in a professional unit.

Is there a transfer from the Armed Forces to the National Guard?

Yes. Servicemen of the Armed Forces can transfer to the National Guard online, in the "Army+" application. Transfers are also available to the "Azov" brigade. When filling out the transfer application, you need to select the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" (v/ch 3057) from the list of units. Before filling out the transfer application, you need to obtain a recommendation letter from our recruiters.
