About the Position
We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist – Respiratory to work on a temporary basis in Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a busy respiratory team. You will be providing a high-quality clinical pharmacy service across respiratory wards and departments, supporting the safe and effective use of medicines for patients with a range of respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical pharmacy service across respiratory wards and departments
- Support the safe and effective use of medicines for patients with respiratory conditions
- Conduct medicines reconciliation, clinical screening of prescriptions, and ward-based pharmacy support
- Review and optimize inhaler techniques
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
- Contribute to medicines optimisation initiatives for patients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease
Requirements
- Current GPhC registration
- Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience
- Demonstrable experience in clinical pharmacy within a respiratory or acute medicine setting
- Strong knowledge of respiratory medicines, inhaler devices, and medicines optimisation in respiratory care
- Familiarity with relevant clinical guidelines including BTS, NICE, and GOLD standards
- Experience contributing to MDT working
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work autonomously at Band 7 level
