About the Position
Fiber Elements GmbH, founded in 2023 at the Start-up Center of Montanuniversität Leoben, focuses on the development and production of non-metallic reinforcement systems. The company primarily works with basalt, which is processed into complex three-dimensional reinforcement systems using so-called rovings (fiber bundles) on automated production lines and used in prefabricated concrete elements or plastic components. Another focus is on development and digital control.
Responsibilities
- Strategic and operational development of adhesives and coatings for basalt-based reinforcement systems
- Specification of market and customer requirements with technical expertise and further development of product ideas into sustainable products
- Conducting test procedures and documenting and preparing the results for cooperation partners
- Project management in the product development and innovation process
- Continuous improvement of quality assurance
Requirements
- University degree in Chemistry with a focus on polymers or comparable education
- Solid knowledge of polymer additives (reactive and non-reactive)
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the adhesive, coatings, and/or construction materials industry, ideally in the field of interactions between organic and inorganic surfaces
- Solid experience in project management and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving orientation paired with creativity and independent, structured working style
- Team spirit and openness to ideas from the development team
- Local flexibility, work location Leoben
We Offer
- Annual gross salary of € 80,000 p.a. if all requirements are met, with the possibility of overpayment based on qualifications.
- Potential for the position to evolve into a managerial role
- One day of home office per week after the onboarding period
