About the Position

Behavioral Health Counselor I - OP Behavioral Health

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor I to join our team at Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, Michigan. As a member of the behavioral health team, you will work with patients experiencing substance use and/or mental health disorders, providing support, coordinating patient care, and representing behavioral health initiatives within the hospital and community.

Responsibilities

• Support patients with substance use and mental health disorders
• Coordinate patient care and wider behavioral health initiatives
• Represent behavioral health throughout the hospital and community

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• CADC, CAADC (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor or Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor) OR the ability to obtain the credential within 3 years
• BLS certification (can be obtained within 60 days of hire)
