About the Position

We are looking for a BI Strategy & Systems Development Analyst to join a project focused on modernizing an enterprise-grade reporting architecture. The key objective is to conduct a performance audit of the current Jasper-based solution and provide strategic recommendations for implementing modern BI platforms (Oracle Analytics, Power BI). This is a long-term, stable project within the public sector.

Responsibilities

  • Performance Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive audit of the Jasper-based reporting system, with a specific focus on identifying bottlenecks related to its single-threaded architecture.
  • Feasibility Studies: Prepare strategic recommendations and Feasibility Studies regarding the migration from legacy solutions to modern BI platforms, such as Oracle Analytics (OAC/OAS), Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Query Optimization: Diagnose and resolve long-running query issues to reduce the load on production databases.
  • Data Integration: Manage data ingestion and maintain data consistency across three distinct, disparate data sources.
  • Documentation Management: Perform deep-dive analysis of existing system and project documentation to ensure business continuity of analytical processes.
  • Data Offloading: Implement offloading techniques to alleviate pressure on primary databases by optimizing the reporting layer.
  • BI Benchmarking: Conduct performance and functional benchmarking (e.g., Oracle BI vs. Power BI) tailored to specific statistical reporting requirements.
  • Multi-source Analysis: Execute data consolidation strategies for environments involving three distributed data sources.
  • Iterative Feasibility Assessment: Continuously validate project hypotheses through documentation review and rigorous performance testing.

Requirements

  • BI & Reporting Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Jasper, Oracle BI, and Power BI.
  • Advanced SQL Optimization: Expert-level skills in query tuning and performance optimization to minimize processing time.
  • Data Modeling: Proven track record of working with triple-source data environments and designing cohesive, integrated reporting models.
  • Feasibility Analysis: Ability to conduct comprehensive technical feasibility studies for enterprise-grade systems.
  • Documentation Excellence: Proficiency in analyzing and drafting detailed technical and process documentation.
  • Security Clearance: Valid criminal record check (certificate of non-criminality) or willingness to obtain one (required for public sector compliance).
