Business Analyst

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience in the software development industry to join our team in Bucharest, Romania. Our client is a leading global Financial market data provider who runs a change program aiming to migrate a set of legacy data connectors to a new strategic platform. The main driver is to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high frequency, and low-latency data management chain.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions
• Produce user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data models
• Write technical and process documentation and explain it clearly to team members
• Support sprint planning, refinement, and show-and-tell ceremonies
• Identify dependencies, risks, and impacts across squads and value streams
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and DevSecOps teams to ensure shared understanding
• Contribute to capability transfer and knowledge documentation (playbooks, runbooks)

Requirements

• 5+ years of solid experience as a Business Analyst in the software development industry
• Understanding of exchange workflows, order lifecycle, market data feeds, and real-time processing
• Expertise in gathering, analysing, and specifying requirements
• Experience with writing technical and process documentation and explaining it to team members
• Experience in business, systems, and engineering process modelling
• Very good understanding of software development lifecycle and processes
• Confidence in presentation skills - ability to capture attention and deliver key messages in a variety of contexts
• Excellent communication skills, Advanced/Fluent English

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of market data: Understanding of market data concepts and applications is advantageous.
• Experience in simulator/trading systems: Familiarity with trading platforms and simulation environments is beneficial.
• Experience in real-time data systems, market data platforms, and exchange/trading environments
