Business Analyst

About the Position

IT SmartFlex is a Ukrainian product company that began its operations in 2019 as a subsidiary of the leading mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine. Our goal is to develop and deepen our IT expertise. We create the latest project solutions for the telecom industry and develop high-quality products for millions of mobile users.

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst with 3+ years of experience in IT development and integration to join our team in Kyiv. The role focuses on gathering and analyzing requirements for software products.

Responsibilities

• Identification, collection, analysis, formalization, and agreement of requirements for software products
• Communication with the customer, agreement of requirements and specifications
• Collection of necessary data from third-party systems for integration (specifications, test data, work requests)
• Description of business needs, user requirements, functional and non-functional requirements
• Maintenance of requirements and specifications in an up-to-date state
• Explanation of requirements to the development team
• Assistance in creating product backlog, describing acceptance criteria, designing mockups, participating in product demonstrations
• Participation in planning and estimating development tasks
• Participation in the acceptance of completed tasks by the development team

Requirements

• Experience as a system or business analyst for at least 3 years
• Experience in identifying and documenting requirements for information systems
• Understanding of different types of requirements: business, user, functional, non-functional
• Understanding of the processes of identification, classification, agreement, and maintenance of requirement changes
• Skills in analyzing subject areas and proposing solutions
• Understanding of software development principles and experience in interacting with the development team
• Knowledge of best practices in business analysis (BABoK)
• Familiarity with modern software development approaches (Lean, Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
• Understanding of the principles of creating product interfaces (UX/UI)
• Proficiency in techniques and notations: UML, BPMN, Use Cases, User Story, Mind Maps
• Understanding of REST and SOAP principles
• Ability to formulate requirements for API development, understanding of specifications (Swagger)
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, etc.)
• Skills in system, conceptual, and visual thinking
