Business Analyst - Consumer Lending
Location: Amsterdam, NL
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: 58,000 - 80,000 € per year
About the Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst who understands the Dutch consumer lending market and enjoys connecting business needs with technology.
At Ohpen, a cloud-native fintech company, you’ll help prospective and existing clients modernize their lending operations using our cloud-based Lending Platform.
You’ll combine your lending domain knowledge, technical understanding, and communication skills to explore client challenges, demonstrate our platform, and help shape solutions that make a real difference.
Responsibilities
- Leading client workshops, deep dives, and platform demonstrations, translating complex business requirements into clear and practical solutions.
- Understanding clients' lending products, processes, and IT architecture to identify how our platform can best support their needs.
- Supporting RFI and RFP processes, preparing detailed responses, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Working closely with our Product, Engineering, and Configuration Implementation teams to explore technical possibilities and shape solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve and extend our platform based on client needs and market developments.
- Acting as a bridge between business and technology, helping clients understand what is possible and how to achieve their goals.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of the Dutch consumer lending market, including its products, processes, and challenges. Experience delivering lending-related projects is a strong advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar client-facing role within a B2B environment.
- Strong communicator and confident presenter. You enjoy leading workshops, engaging with clients, and explaining complex topics in a clear and structured way.
- Technical mindset. You don't need to be a developer, but you are comfortable discussing APIs, system integrations, and IT architecture.
- Analytical and solution-oriented. You enjoy understanding complex problems, asking the right questions, and finding practical solutions.
- Adaptable and proactive. You take ownership of your work and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.
- Enjoy working with different stakeholders, from business representatives to engineers and product teams.
- Comfortable traveling to clients across the Netherlands and regularly meeting your colleagues at our Amsterdam office.
