About the Position

We're seeking a seasoned Business Analyst - Data Products to join a major bank. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and QA to define, prioritise, and deliver robust integration solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Independently drive cross-functional engagement with senior stakeholders and Data Product Owners to define strategic data requirements.
  • Translate business objectives into data definitions, data models, and governance frameworks.
  • Communicate complex business and data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain an end-to-end perspective on data flows, dependencies, and impacts across systems, products, and business processes.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a global team.
  • Apply prompt engineering techniques effectively to enhance business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, and stakeholder communication.
  • Demonstrate data analysis skills with the ability to analyze, interpret, and derive insights from datasets using Excel or other data analysis tools such as SQL and Power BI.
  • Possess proven experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry, with a strong understanding of financial products, business processes, regulatory requirements, and data domains.

Requirements

  • Must have

    • Master's degree in business administration, computer science, or equivalent experience, and at least 7 years of experience working in a similar position.
    • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst or similar role with a strong focus on data domain (Strategy, Frameworks and Controls).
    • Good understanding of data quality principles.
    • Relational and dimensional data modelling and data governance.
    • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, able to work independently and collaboratively with other teams.
    • Fluent in English with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to maintain a holistic, end-to-end view of data ecosystems.
