About the Position
We are looking for experienced Business Analysts with strong Investment Banking Operations domain expertise to join our team. You will act as the bridge between business and technology teams, driving requirement gathering, business process analysis, and solution design. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Conduct requirement elicitation workshops and facilitate discussions with business users and cross-functional teams.
- Analyze current business processes and define future-state process flows.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and process documentation.
- Perform business and data mapping to support solution design and implementation.
- Lead functional discussions with business users and wider project teams to clarify requirements and resolve queries.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately implemented.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation, and post-production validation activities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and proactively manage risks, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Must have
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the Investment Banking domain.
- Strong domain knowledge in Capital Markets Asset Classes like FI, FX, Derivatives, etc with an understanding of their Trade Life Cycle.
- Should have a high-level understanding of Trade Booking, Validation, and Settlement processes in general for any asset class.
- Basic understanding of Investment Banking Operations, with hands-on experience in Corporate Actions / Events Processing (e.g., Dividends, Rights Issues, Bonus Issues, Stock Splits, etc.)
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, process mapping, and business/data mapping.
- Ability to independently lead requirement gathering sessions and functional discussions with business users and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, self-driven, and capable of driving discussions and requirements to closure with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Experience working with global Investment Banking clients.
- Exposure to investment banking operational platforms and workflow tools.
