Business Analyst - Managed Services & Insights (US)
Tech Stack
Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
About the Position
Bright Insights, the AI-powered e-commerce and retail intelligence division of Bright Data, is seeking a Business Analyst for Managed Services & Insights to join our team in the US. Launched in September 2022, Bright Insights bridges the gap between raw web scraping and strategic decision-making by turning public web data into actionable, real-time business intelligence.
This role is highly cross-functional and customer-facing. You will work directly with prospects and clients to understand their data needs, translate those needs into technically sound and commercially viable solutions, and produce the detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), scoping documents, and cost models that make complex Managed Services projects possible.
Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solution Scoping (~40%)
- Engage directly with prospects and customers during pre-sales to understand their data collection, enrichment, and insights requirements in depth.
- Lead or support discovery sessions to uncover technical constraints, data freshness needs, volume expectations, output formats, and downstream use cases.
- Translate customer requirements into well-architected solution designs that leverage Bright Data's full stack.
- Work alongside Sales AEs and Solution Engineers to craft winning proposals.
- Identify ambiguities and risks in customer requirements early, and drive alignment before contracts are signed.
SOW & Pricing (~30%)
- Author detailed, precise Statements of Work (SOWs) for complex Managed Services & Insights engagements.
- Build cost models and pricing estimates for projects involving data collection at scale, custom scraper development, AI/BI deliverables, and ongoing maintenance.
- Develop and refine internal costing frameworks to improve speed and consistency of pricing across the team.
- Collaborate with R&D leads and Delivery/Project Managers to validate technical feasibility and effort estimates before committing to customers.
- Manage scope change requests and support contract amendments as projects evolve.
Business Research & Post-Sales Analysis (~30%)
- Conduct deep business and technical research on customer industries, data sources, and use cases to inform solution design and delivery planning.
- Produce structured write-ups, briefing documents, and solution specs for internal teams picking up delivery post-contract.
- Support delivery teams during project kickoff to ensure the SOW is fully understood and the solution is set up for success.
- Track and analyze project performance data to improve future estimates.
- Stay current on web data, AI/ML, and BI trends to bring informed perspective to both client conversations and internal solution development.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Solutions Consultant, or similar role in a technology services, data, or SaaS environment.
- Proven track record writing complex SOWs and service contracts for technical projects.
- Strong understanding of web data collection and web scraping.
- Solid grasp of data analysis, BI, and AI/ML solutions.
- Experience estimating IT project costs.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
- Outstanding written English.
- Highly organized and self-directed in a fully remote environment.
We Offer
- Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI and web data technologies.
- Collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Competitive compensation package.
- Flexible remote work options.
