Business Analyst

About the Position

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join Welvaart in Lisboa, supporting insurance projects and business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements
• Act as the liaison between business and IT stakeholders
• Analyse existing processes and identify improvement opportunities
• Translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories
• Participate in solution design and validation activities
• Support testing activities and ensure requirements coverage
• Coordinate with business users throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitate workshops, meetings and requirement-gathering sessions
• Produce and maintain business and functional documentation
• Analyze business impacts and support change management initiatives
• Track requirements, issues and project deliverables
• Ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives and operational needs
• Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Business Analyst
• Previous experience in Insurance environments
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, processes and operations
• Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications
• Experience working with business and IT stakeholders
• Experience supporting testing and validation activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience facilitating workshops and requirement sessions
• Ability to produce clear and structured documentation
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working in Agile environments (valued)
• Knowledge of insurance systems and digital transformation projects (valued)
