Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analytics Consultant with a strong foundation in Generative AI and a keen interest in revolutionizing the Oil & Gas industry.

You will be part of a fast-paced team focused on translating complex business requirements into actionable insights and AI-driven solutions for upstream processes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and domain experts, to identify and define business opportunities for AI applications
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing upstream processes to uncover pain points, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement
  • Develop and refine business use cases for generative AI, aligning them with strategic objectives and measurable outcomes
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear and concise specifications for AI model development and deployment
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of AI solutions on business performance
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure that AI-driven solutions are user-friendly and meet the needs of end-users
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in generative AI and evaluate their potential applications in the oil and gas industry

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in business analytics or related fields
  • At least 2 years in Lead, Manager, Owner, Architect, or Coordinator roles
  • At least 1 year of experience in leading a team of at least 5 employees
  • Participation in at least 2 full cycle projects or several projects covering different phases of the development lifecycle
  • Experience in business analysis with a focus on process improvement and data-driven decision making
  • Proven experience working with generative AI models and their applications in a business context
  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, preferably with experience in upstream operations
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills in English at a B2 level or higher

Nice to Have

  • Experience with seismic data analysis
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP
