About the Position

We are seeking a Buyer/Materials Planner with a strong background in Dynamics NAV to lead strategic product initiatives from concept to launch. In this remote position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product functionality and drive user engagement. Your role will directly impact our ability to deliver robust solutions that meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of packaging and production materials to support manufacturing schedules and operational efficiency.
  • Manage supplier relationships, coordinate material deliveries, negotiate pricing and agreements, and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Partner with production, scheduling, quality, and operations teams to align material availability with demand forecasts and production plans.
  • Analyze historical usage trends, inventory data, and market conditions to forecast material requirements and support procurement strategies.
  • Monitor material costs and identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining product quality and service levels.
  • Ensure all materials comply with applicable quality standards, food safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to inventory accuracy, material consumption, supplier performance, and procurement metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, waste reduction, and inventory optimization.
  • Support inventory control activities including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation efforts.
  • Participate in new product launches, packaging development initiatives, and cross-functional planning meetings.
  • Maintain ERP system integrity, including accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and SKU data management.

Food Safety & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, and GMP standards.
  • Support and maintain food safety and quality programs to ensure compliance across operations.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to senior leadership within Supply Chain and Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in materials planning, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong process improvement mindset.
