About the Position
Business Controller – Global Transformation & Change

The Global Transformation & Change Finance Team provides financial oversight, governance, and strategic support for ING's global transformation portfolio. We are looking for a skilled and driven finance professional to provide financial control, investment governance, and strategic advisory support across ING's transformation portfolio.
In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the entire bank, helping drive strategic and tactical decisions through financial insights, business case assessments, forecasting, and transformation performance analysis. Your work will directly support senior executive decision-making and contribute to shaping the future of ING's transformation agenda.
Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted sparring partner to senior management on strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations that support executive leadership decisions.
- Translate complex financial and transformation-related information into actionable business insights.

Transformation Portfolio Oversight
- Support the financial governance and performance management of ING's global transformation portfolio.
- Monitor transformation investments and value realization across programs and initiatives.
- Deliver portfolio-level reporting and performance updates to key stakeholders.

Investment Governance & Business Cases
- Support the development, review, and challenge of investment proposals and business cases.
- Provide financial advice that facilitates decision-making at Investment Committee level.
- Assess assumptions, benefits, risks, and financial implications of transformation initiatives.

Financial Modelling, Forecasting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain complex financial models and forecasting scenarios.
- Deliver timely reporting, analysis, and business insights to support management decisions.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that impact transformation outcomes.

Project & Change Delivery
- Lead projects and initiatives assigned to the Global Transformation & Change Finance team.
- Collaborate across Finance, Technology, Operations, and Transformation teams to drive successful execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of governance, reporting, and decision-support processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant role such as Business Controllership, Finance Business Partner, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Business Advisory, and Transformation Finance.
Technical Capabilities
- Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience evaluating investment proposals and business cases.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex and dynamic environments.
Stakeholder Management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to influence, challenge, and partner with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Comfortable engaging with senior management and executive stakeholders.
Language
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
