About the Position

Business Development Manager – Utility BESS & PV (Sweden)

Join Huawei Sweden as a Business Development Manager for Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and PV (Solar Inverter) in Sweden. Drive business development and sales growth, identify opportunities with various stakeholders, and strengthen relationships within the Swedish energy storage market.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development and sales growth for Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and PV (Solar Inverter) in Sweden.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with customer needs and Huawei’s growth strategy.
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers, partners, consultants, TSOs/DSOs, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify, qualify, and win major utility-scale BESS projects from early-stage pipeline to contract closure.
  • Take the commercial lead in projects: understand customer business cases, market drivers, and technical requirements, and position Huawei’s value proposition effectively.
  • Work closely with Huawei’s solution, engineering, legal, and delivery teams to provide competitive and bankable solutions.
  • Lead tender processes including RFI/RFP review, bid strategy, commercial negotiation, proposal preparation, and contract discussions.
  • Monitor market trends, regulations, grid code developments, and competitor activities within the Swedish BESS and renewable energy sectors.
  • Represent Huawei at industry events, conferences, and customer forums to strengthen Huawei’s market position and brand visibility.
  • Support cross-selling opportunities within renewable energy, including PV, EV charging, and digital power solutions where relevant.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the utility-scale BESS and PV market, including project development cycle, grid services, ancillary markets, EPC models, and commercial structures.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish renewable energy market, regulations, and grid environment.
  • Experience in complex solution sales, tender management, and strategic account development.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to negotiate contracts and manage senior customer relationships.
  • Good understanding of energy storage system architecture, PCS, EMS, battery technologies, and grid integration principles.
  • Ability to work independently, drive opportunities proactively, and manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Well connected with key market players in the Swedish energy sector is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a leading company within energy, renewables, storage, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare competitor solutions and translate market needs into winning strategies.

Languages

  • Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
  • Fluent Swedish is required.
