About the Position

Business Development Representative for Regulatory & Compliance Practice

Star is a global technology consultancy helping businesses define, design, and build what’s next. We work with leaders across Automotive & mobility, Healthcare & Life sciences, Financial services, and Media & Advertising - industries where regulatory pressure is constant, compliance requirements are tightening, and the cost of getting it wrong keeps rising.

Our Regulatory & Compliance practice helps clients navigate that complexity – from building the right technology foundations to embedding compliance into how products and operations actually work. We are growing fast and building the commercial engine to match.

This role is for someone who treats outbound as a craft. You will own the full outbound loop for this practice – from defining who to reach, to building and running campaigns, to reading the data and improving. You are not following a template someone else wrote. You are figuring out what works, running it at scale, and getting better every cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Define and refine the target segments for the Regulatory & Compliance practice: who we are reaching, why they are relevant now, and what signal or context makes the timing right.
  • Design and run hypothesis-driven outbound campaigns, built around a clear ICP, persona, engagement signal, and messaging angle. Every campaign starts with an audience you want to reach.
  • Test multiple variations in parallel: different messages, subject lines, channels, sequences, and angles. Measure what lands, cut what does not, and carry forward what works.
  • Write outbound messaging that reflects real context – specific to the company, the role, and the moment. No generic templates. Every message should feel like it was written for that person.
  • Set up and manage campaigns end to end: build contact lists, configure sequences, manage sending schedules, and keep everything running cleanly.
  • Analyze reply patterns and campaign performance. Identify what is working across segments and messaging angles and use that to continuously sharpen targeting and approach.
  • Open initial conversations with compliance, risk, legal, and technology leaders - hand them off cleanly with the right context so the next conversation can be productive.
  • Work across our toolstack – Salesforce, Amplemarket, Apollo, Dorislabs, Clay, and LinkedIn to launch campaigns, enrich data, find the right contacts, and keep records accurate. Use AI tools to move faster and write better.

Requirements

  • At least three years of B2B outbound experience – you have run campaigns, owned sequences, and have a track record of generating pipeline through outbound.
  • You understand outbound fundamentals: ICP definition, segmentation, persona development, and what makes a message relevant versus generic.
  • You are hypothesis-driven. You do not run the same playbook twice without asking why it worked and whether there is a better way.
  • You are fluent with outbound and prospecting tools – Apollo, Amplemarket, Clay, or similar - and you use them to build targeted, well-researched lists, not just spray and pray.
  • You use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) as part of your daily workflow – to research, to draft, to iterate, and to move faster without sacrificing quality.
  • You write well. Your messages are specific, relevant, and concise – and you know how to adapt tone for a compliance officer versus a technology leader.
  • Experience in healthcare technology or the broader technology sector is a significant advantage. While deep expertise is not required on day one, a surface-level familiarity with regulatory and compliance themes will be a massive benefit in getting up to speed quickly.
