Buyer

About the Position

Atlas Next Wave is supporting a leading global contractor in the search for a Buyer. The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials, equipment, consumables, and services to support yard operations. The role ensures procurement activities are completed in line with project requirements, approved specifications, budgets, delivery schedules, and company procurement procedures while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, tools, PPE, equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services.
• Obtain quotations, evaluate suppliers, and prepare purchase recommendations.
• Issue purchase orders and expedite deliveries to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, warehouse, logistics, finance, and project teams to confirm material requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, delivery schedules, and cost tracking.
• Support supplier evaluations, vendor registration, and commercial negotiations.
• Resolve delivery delays, material discrepancies, invoice issues, and urgent procurement requests.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years' procurement or purchasing experience in construction, fabrication, oil & gas, marine, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
