Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, your role is crucial to our company’s success. You will be responsible for analyzing and implementing business requirements delivered by the Team Lead. Your insights and contributions will shape the system and service architecture discussions based on the requirements.
- Write well-designed code
- Review team members’ code
- Estimate and plan development
Requirements
Must Have:
- Strong modern C++ (C++11/14/17)
- Knowledge of the media metadata and media file formats domain:
- Professional media containers/wrappers: MXF (OP1a / OP-Atom), QuickTime/MOV, MP4 / ISO-BMFF, WAV/AIFF
- Media metadata models and standards: AAF, XML-based metadata, descriptive/structural metadata
- Essence vs metadata separation; wrapper partitions, indexing, timecode and Start-of-Media (SOM)
- Parsing, reading and writing media file headers and metadata
- Experience with concurrent computing and multithreading
- Experience with Linux (and Windows)
- Experience with unit testing
- Experience with Git
- Understanding of CI/CD principles
- C++ (11/14/17)
- Media file formats / metadata (MXF, AAF)
- Jenkins CI
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with essence formats (J2K, DNx, ProRES) at the container level
- Familiarity with CMake, Conan
- Basic knowledge of Go, Java, Python, JavaScript
- Experience with Jira, Docker and Kubernetes
