About Us
Indie Campers, the leading marketplace for campervans, aims to make road trips accessible to everyone. With its digital approach and customer-centric focus, Indie Campers has developed a robust booking experience and offers high-quality road trips at affordable prices.
With over a million nights rented through our travel platform, we have welcomed more than 300,000 travelers from 169 countries. We offer a wide and growing range of options for road trips: short-term campervan rentals, long-term van subscriptions, and the possibility of purchasing one of our vehicles for sale.
With a solid technological foundation, our challenges are both exciting and demanding, requiring the best talent and great motivation to succeed. We are expanding our team and are looking for individuals interested in pursuing this dream with us and joining a constantly evolving journey.
Responsibilities
Maintenance:
- Perform systematic inspections of vehicles and diagnose issues in interior systems, appliances, and exterior systems.
- Carry out maintenance and repair tasks for campervans and campervans, including: replacing minor exterior parts (light bulbs, windows, side mirrors); replacing spare parts and repairing campervans; troubleshooting and repairing campervan appliances.
- Diagnose the cause of a breakdown before replacing parts and decide-and communicate clearly-when a vehicle is truly ready to be rented.
- Manage your repair list from start to finish, adjusting it as urgent tasks arise without losing sight of what was already scheduled.
- Keep all vehicle records, repair notes, and parts consumption in the fleet management system up to date.
- Keep tools, equipment, and the workshop clean and organized.
- Maintain the spare parts inventory: perform inventories and manage the receipt and consumption of spare parts.
- Receive and collect shipments and supplies, organize them in storage areas, and record the consumption of items and new orders.
- Maintain and develop relationships with external partners, and coordinate the execution of vehicle interventions with external suppliers and regional teams.
Depending on the location, you will also actively participate in the daily operations of the warehouse:
- Prepare vehicles and equipment for customers.
- Assist in managing incoming reservations, welcoming guests, and handling check-ins and check-outs.
- Maintain the equipment, accessories, and consumables stored in the warehouse in good condition.
Requirements
- More than one year of practical experience in repairs, installations, or maintenance: campervans, caravans, boats, appliances, carpentry, bodywork, or similar. We care about what you can fix, not in which sector you've done it.
- Solid knowledge in at least one of the following areas: interior installations, appliance or system repair, or exterior repairs; and willingness to learn the others.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work following a repair list and adapt your schedule as tasks arise.
- Fluency in French and English for work.
- Ability to work in France, have a valid driver's license (category B), and feel confident enough to drive a campervan.
- Availability on weekends and holidays.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel, including the possibility of working abroad for specific periods based on the project.
- Availability on weekends and during peak activity periods; ability to stand in a warehouse for long periods of time, both indoors and outdoors, and lift between 10 and 15 kg.
We Offer
- Be part of a young, innovative, and rapidly growing company where you can make a difference.
- Professional development opportunities in field operations and possibilities for relocation to our offices in Lisbon, Mexico City, or Manila.
- Continuous training and guidance to develop the skills that interest you.
- A compensation package that includes performance and referral bonuses.
- Free road trips to let you experience Indie firsthand: trips across Europe, North America, and Oceania.
