About the Position
Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate, and promote durable solutions for displacement-affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently employing over 800 staff in Ukraine and implementing emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs, and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
DRC is currently looking for a Case Management Assistant in Sumy. The position requires regular field visits and travel to Shostka district, approximately 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Case Management Team Leader, the Case Management Assistant will support the implementation of Case Management activities for vulnerable populations in Sumska Oblast. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Conducting initial needs assessments
- Supporting the Case Management process
- Organizing referrals to relevant services
- Providing client follow-up
- Contributing to the timely and high-quality implementation of program activities in line with internal procedures, humanitarian principles, and project objectives
Requirements
Required:
- Education: Degree in Law, Social Work, or a related field
- Ukrainian language skills required
- Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with vulnerable individuals, colleagues, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to discuss sensitive topics and work with people in distress
- High level of personal integrity and understanding of confidentiality and ethics
Desirable:
- The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
- Good English language skills are preferred but not required
