About the Role

Our team is dedicated to consistently developing OTTO’s Beauty & Essentials product lineup from the customer’s perspective. We analyze customer needs, search and purchasing behavior, as well as market and performance data, to identify relevant trends and product line potential early on. From this, we derive concrete measures to create an attractive, needs-based product offering and shape our business models.

You’ll work at the intersection of Category Management, suppliers, brands, and our colleagues in Marketing, Availability Management, Data Management, and Pricing, and you’ll help us further develop AI-powered solutions for all aspects of our business. With your curiosity about our product assortments, customers, and new technologies alike, you’ll actively help us provide the best possible offerings to our customers every day.

Responsibilities

• Gain comprehensive insights into the planning and management of a category with regard to product assortment and cross-channel marketing
• Independently manage a work package, with a focus on product assortment analysis, content maintenance, and ensuring products are listed online on Otto.de in a timely manner
• Gain a comprehensive, cross-category perspective through interdisciplinary collaboration with our neighboring teams in marketing, availability management, and pricing, and you’ll become familiar with all relevant day-to-day tasks
• Support cross-functional projects with internal and external partners

Requirements

Must-have:

• Currently enrolled student or taking a gap year between your bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and available to help us for 6 months starting immediately.
• Passionate about beauty, fashion, and e-commerce.
• “Hands-on” mindset and eager to take on operational tasks.
• Flexible and independent in a complex business environment.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
• Enjoy collaborating with your team and external suppliers and love learning new things.
• Naturally use AI tools for tasks and processes in your field.
• Language proficiency: German C1 (professional-level proficiency) and English C1 (professional-level proficiency).

Nice-to-have:

• Practical experience in the e-commerce/fashion industry.
