About the Position

Chargé.e de Projet Cash – Port-Soudan

Acted is seeking a dedicated Project Manager for a cash project in Port-Soudan, Sudan. The role involves overseeing project implementation, ensuring efficient and timely completion, and contributing to the overall success of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Project Implementation: Oversee the execution of project activities.
  • Reporting: Prepare written elements and progress reports on field activities.
  • Administration and Management: Handle project implementation in areas such as:
    • Finance
    • Logistics
    • Administration/HR
    • Transparency
    • Security
  • External Relations: Maintain and manage relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality of project outputs.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the project manager.

Requirements

  • Experience: Field experience in program management and coordination, preferably in program management.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the aid system and the donor and government systems.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to coordinate and manage projects.
    • Ability to work independently and creatively in the field and in the capital.
    • Team spirit.
    • Strong ability to work in a multicultural context.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Language: Knowledge of a local and/or regional language is a plus.

We Offer

  • Salary: Between 1800 and 2000€ net monthly (before income tax), based on education level, expertise, security level, and experience.
  • Allowances: Monthly living expenses allowance of 300$.
  • Housing and Food: Provided by Acted.
  • Benefits: Social security, health insurance (MSH), and repatriation assistance (SOS International) covered by Acted.
  • Transportation: Round-trip transportation to the mission and return every 6 months covered (to the address specified in the employment contract).
  • Visa Fees: Covered by Acted.
  • Rest and Recuperation: Every 3 months (airfare covered up to 500$ + additional allowance of 200$).
  • Pre-departure Preparation: One week including 4 days of immersive security training.
  • Tax Consultation: Possibility of a 30-minute call with a tax consultant.
  • Psychological Support: Access to a professional for psychological support.
  • International Position: This position is classified as an international role in Acted's recruitment grid. Eligibility for an international contract is required.
