Chemical Systems Engineer Lead, Gas & Chemical Systems (GCS)

About the Position

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Chemical Systems Engineer Lead for Gas & Chemical Systems to lead and manage a team of engineers in chemical operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct manage a small team of ~10 engineers.
• Lead and participate in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world-class safety performance.
• Provide technical expertise and ownership for chemical systems, safety, and quality standards, and improvements for those systems.
• Support technical troubleshooting of emergent equipment issues.
• Ensure compliance to all regulatory codes and standards applicable to equipment set (including PSM/RMP).
• Work with maintenance teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements.
• Communicate and coordinate with Fab Engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability.
• Support all aspects of capacity planning and capacity increase projects involving the demolition and installation of new equipment and associated infrastructure.
• Effectively manage strategies and projects related to end-of-life assets to ensure reliability and safety to site.
• Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ direct operations experience related to gas and/or chemical supply systems. Semiconductor or electronics facility support preferred, with an emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials.
• Direct leadership and management of teams responsible for the operation and maintenance of chemical equipment is preferred.

Salary

The current base salary range for this role is between $113,500 - $151,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience.
