About the Position

Chief Executive Officer- Ambulatory Surgery Centers


Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and day-to-day management of Surgery Center operations, including staff supervision, physician relations, and maintaining a positive, high-performing work environment.
  • Oversee all human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention of staff.
  • Partner with Medical Directors to establish clinical goals, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Manage financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and preparation of accrual-based financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and accreditation requirements (e.g., AAAHC, Medicare, state health departments).
  • Lead strategic planning, operational improvement, and stakeholder engagement, including board relations, payer contracting, and community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in a complex leadership role
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience with a clinical background
  • MHA, MBA, or MSN preferred
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, including ambulatory surgery, billing, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to support multi-site environments.
  • Proficient in medical records systems, financial reporting, and standard business software.
