Chief Marketing Officer

About the Position

Be Mobile is a challenger bank for emerging markets and the fastest-growing payment network in Africa, offering banking for everyone, including those often overlooked by traditional banks: low-income and rural poor populations. We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to lead all marketing activities for Africa’s fastest-growing payment solution. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expansion.

Responsibilities

• Develop the marketing playbook with a focus on expansion into new markets.
• Make strategic decisions that lead to measurable growth in Be Mobile’s reach, customer base, and other KPIs.
• Build the marketing team with top talent to tackle different channels and verticals.
• Create high-impact presentations and proposals for key stakeholders both internally and externally.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing or communication is required.
• A post-graduate qualification in marketing, or unique startup growth experience is required.
• Several years of related job experience, with experience in Fintech being a significant advantage.
• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional project management and communication skills.
• Proven experience managing B2B and B2C campaigns across various channels, regions, and industries.
