Chief Technology Officer

About the Position

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer with 5-7 years of experience in financial technology or services to lead our tech development in Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and other top management to define achievable goals and product timelines.
• Establish and manage the company's ambitious goals for technology development, both internally and externally.
• Propose solutions and provide recommendations in the market and development environment.
• Work with the team to develop products and functionalities quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure a proper technical approach and organize the development of all features, both in process and planned.
• Create a development environment, technology stacks, version control systems, methodologies, and testing policies.
• Manage and support the technical team.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience at the director/VP/CTO/CIO level in the field of financial technology or financial services.
• 2 years of practical experience in Blockchain/Digital Assets, familiarity with Solidity, Golang, understanding of Ethereum Networks, Hyperledger.
• Significant experience as a top manager (CTO/CIO/VP) who managed a dynamic environment for leading product development, designed coding methods and architecture.
• Entrepreneurial DNA: experience in working from partner and supplier selection to achieving goals in the development field.
• Must be familiar with security, standards, and procedures necessary when working with confidential financial information.
• Minimum of 10+ years of total work experience with significant leadership experience, 5+ as an engineer, 5+ as an engineering manager.
• Respect among peers in the technology field as an "ideological leader" with a true business acumen who is able to attract and develop talent.
• Experience in creating a new business with multiple simultaneous business processes and contractors, including technology partners.
• Higher education and at least a bachelor's degree in computer science or mathematics is preferred.
• Experience in developing for the financial market for institutional users.
• Experience in the cryptocurrency market, both in trading and development.
