Claims Handler Special Cases
Location: Brussels – Fonsnylaan

Responsibilities
- Internal Point of Contact: Serve as the internal contact for suspicious cases. Colleagues rely on your analysis to determine if additional investigation is necessary.
- Case Handling: If further investigation is needed, you will take over the case handling.
- Thorough Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of damage and policy files. Establish connections, detect inconsistencies, and formulate substantiated advice.
- Decision Making: Based on your findings, determine the most appropriate next steps: providing advice, initiating additional research, or launching a fraud investigation.
- Coordination: Coordinate complex cases with a fraud risk and act as the central contact for clients, third parties, and experts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other insurers, investigators, and legal experts to handle cases correctly and objectively.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share your expertise with colleagues and contribute to the further development of internal processes and methodologies.
- Fraud Prevention: Play an active role in fraud prevention by identifying risks and proposing improvements.
Requirements
- Analytical and Curious: Naturally curious and analytical. You go beyond first impressions, ask the right questions, and seek facts to correctly assess situations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience in damage management, particularly in fire and/or family liability. Experience in SE/SME is a plus.
- Languages: Dutch or French as a mother tongue, with good knowledge of the other national language.
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
- Attributes: Discreet, reliable, and respectful in handling confidential information. Proactive attitude with a strong solution-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have
- Interest in Fraud Fighting: Broad interest in fraud fighting and complex damage cases.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and a critical mindset.
- Industry Experience: Experience within multiple damage industries.
