How Does Your Job Look as a Claims Handler Special Cases?

Do you want to use your expertise in damage management to detect and combat fraud? At NN, we do more than just insurance. That's why we are strengthening our Special Cases team with a motivated Claims Handler Special Cases. In this role, you are much more than a classic damage manager. You will be at the heart of complex and sensitive files, where your critical eye and analytical ability make the difference.

• You are the internal point of contact for suspicious files. Colleagues rely on your analysis to determine if additional research is necessary.
• If additional research is needed, you take over the further handling of the file.
• You perform thorough analyses of damage and policy files. You establish connections, detect inconsistencies, and formulate substantiated advice.
• Based on your findings, you determine the most appropriate next steps: providing advice, initiating additional research, or launching a fraud investigation.
• You coordinate complex files with a fraud risk and act as the central contact person for customers, third parties, and experts.
• You work closely with other insurers, researchers, and legal experts to handle files correctly and objectively.
• You share your expertise with colleagues and contribute to the further development of internal processes and working methods.
• You play an active role in fraud prevention by identifying risks and proposing improvements.

Who Fits Perfectly in Our Team

• You are naturally curious and analytical. You go beyond the first impression, ask the right questions, and look for facts to assess situations correctly.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience.
• Experience in fire damage management and/or family liability. Experience in SE/SME is an asset.
• Dutch or French as a mother tongue, with good knowledge of the other national language.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Discreet, reliable, and respectful in handling confidential information.
• Proactive attitude with a strong solution-oriented mindset.

Extra Assets:

• Broad interest in fraud prevention and complex damage cases.
• Strong analytical skills and a critical mindset.
• Experience within multiple damage branches.
